BHANOT TECHDATA ENGINEER (EU CITIZEN ONLY) BRUSSELS HYBRID
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer for translating complex datasets into actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with policy officers and other stakeholders to provide data-driven recommendations that inform decision-making and optimize business outcomes.
Collaborate with policy officers to analyze large datasets and provide actionable, data-driven insights for decision-making.
Data Analysis & Modelling:
Conduct exploratory data analysis, clean datasets if necessary, build predictive models, and extract insights from large datasets.
Work with policy colleagues to ensure data availability and quality. Engage with business analysts, customers, users, project leaders, and developers.
Data-Driven Solutions:
Implement solutions to optimize processes and outcomes.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure data science practices meet necessary requirements and adhere to data governance principles.
Design or participate in the creation of data processing algorithms for specific use cases.
Reporting & Visualization:
Report on project status, risks, and mitigation actions. Create clear, informative visualizations to communicate complex data findings.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong expertise in data analysis techniques and tools.
Proficiency (3+ years) in at least two of the following programming languages: Python, R, Stata.
Solid knowledge of statistics, probability, distributions, and sampling techniques.
SQL and database experience (3+ years), including intermediate SQL skills.
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, R-Shiny).
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
Ability to deliver high-quality results efficiently in a changing environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to write clear, structured technical documentation.
