As part of a major growth initiative, they're expanding their data team and looking for talented Data Engineers who want to work on modern data platforms, AI-driven solutions, and cutting-edge information retrieval technologies.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing team and help build a highly scalable internal data platform from the ground up.

Location: Antwerp

Working Pattern: Full-time, permanent position

Language: English required, Dutch highly advantageous

What you'll be doing

Designing and developing scalable data products and modern data pipelines
Building data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and AI applications
Working with RAG architectures, embeddings, vector search, and information retrieval technologies
Developing AI-powered solutions and automation capabilities
Creating robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
Implementing data quality and validation processes
Collaborating closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
Contributing to the evolution of a strategic enterprise-wide data platform

What we're looking for

Essential

4 years' experience as a Data Engineer
Strong Python and SQL skills
Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
Commercial experience with AI technologies
Experience working with APIs and multiple data sources
Strong understanding of data modelling and data architecture
Fluent English

Highly desirable

Experience with Vector Search, Embeddings, RAG, or Information Retrieval solutions
Elasticsearch or Vector Database experience
Apache Airflow or workflow orchestration tools
Dutch language skills
