About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer (Freelance) to join our client’s innovation competence center for a 7-month mission in Brussels. This is your opportunity to drive digital transformation for the public sector, prototyping and deploying impactful solutions that serve citizens and public administration agents. You’ll be at the forefront of cross-platform mobile development and generative AI, shaping the future of public digital services.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, prototyping, and deploying full-stack solutions (web, mobile, AI) from needs analysis to delivery in an agile environment
- Serving as the go-to expert for Flutter cross-platform mobile development, including production deployment and collaboration with external partners
- Architecting and deploying generative AI solutions: RAG architectures, LLM chatbots, extraction pipelines, and model deployment
- Working in Scrum teams, contributing to workload estimation and service desk documentation
- Preparing and executing production deployments: defining architecture, implementing federated authentication (OAuth), CI/CD, application monitoring, and ensuring code quality
- Leading training sessions, demos, and awareness presentations; participating in internal hackathons and communities of practice
- Supporting internship supervision, conducting needs analysis, and collaborating with external stakeholders (citizens, academia, suppliers)
- Experimenting with emerging technologies (AI, augmented reality, social robotics) and conducting technology watch activities

What We’re Looking For
- Senior generalist full-stack developer with proven experience in innovation centers or prototyping units
- Dual expertise in cross-platform mobile development (Flutter) and generative AI (RAG, LLMs, model deployment, technology monitoring)
- Strong ownership mindset, autonomy in technical production deployment (architecture, security, CI/CD)
- Experience facilitating hackathons, training, and communities of practice
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a drive for impactful, public-interest solutions
- Experience in the public sector or with public digital services is a plus
Language Proficiency
- Professional proficiency in English required
- French or Dutch proficiency is a strong advantage
Other Requirements
- Partial remote work possible; on-site presence in Brussels required as per project needs
- Freelance contract for 7 months
