Hardware Engineer

HARDWARE ENGINEER - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION

We're currently recruiting for a Hardware Engineer who will join a engineering team, with primary responsibility for the design, development, and validation of analog and digital electronic hardware.

This role involves hands-on ownership of hardware designs from early concept and schematic development through prototyping, testing, and production support.

As a Hardware Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing, to build reliable, high-performance electronic systems.

You'll be involved in both creative design work and practical lab-based activities, including debugging, performance evaluation, and iterative improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits, including schematic capture and component selection

Collaborate on PCB layout, reviewing designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability

Build, test, and debug hardware prototypes to validate functionality and performance

Conduct hardware testing and validation, including power measurements, signal integrity checks, and environmental or stress testing

Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues throughout development and early production phases

Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, test plans, and design reports

Support transition from prototype to production, assisting with manufacturing bring-up and issue resolution

Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of hardware design processes

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field

3+ years of professional, industry experience

Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design

Hands-on experience with electronics prototyping, testing, and debugging

Proficiency with common lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, etc.)

Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar)

Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals, including power, timing, noise, and signal integrity The Offer:
