Your team and your responsibilities
R&D4 EE2 Telematics Team
Electronics Engineering – R&D4 – Telematics. Our team develops and evaluates telematics systems including the Data Communication Module (DCM). We develop testing tools, run evaluations, and support connectivity testing for future Toyota models across Europe.
Develop a Diagnostics‑over‑IP (DoIP) communication layer for a lightweight diagnostic tool
Implement ECU functions and services for UDS over IP communication
Build and validate Python‑based modules for DoIP and extend current capabilities of AutoPi tool.
Document architecture, implementation, testing steps
Additional goals include automotive ethernet logging functionality
You are fluent in English
You are studying Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Automotive Engineering or similar
You have interest in automotive communication technologies
You know the basics of Python, UDS and automotive ethernet
You enjoy hands‑on testing, data analysis and structured problem solving
You are curious, willing to learn and comfortable exploring new tools autonomously

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
