We're looking for a
strong Senior Full-Stack Developer with solid Java, Angular and Python experience
to join a long-term digital modernisation project in Brussels.
The team is currently rewriting and modernising a number of
legacy business applications
, moving them towards a new architecture and more modern development standards.
You'll join a
6-person development team
made up of developers, a business analyst and a project manager.
What you'll be doing
- Rewriting and modernising existing legacy applications
- Developing new functionality within a redesigned architecture
- Analysing existing applications and translating legacy behaviour into modern solutions
- Using
Python to support and facilitate the migration and rewriting of legacy applications
- Developing robust back-end and front-end solutions
- Working with REST APIs and event-driven architectures
- Collaborating closely with analysts and the business to understand functional requirements
- Contributing to technical decisions and continuous improvements
- Working in an Agile environment with a well-structured backlog
A key part of the challenge is
understanding an existing and sometimes complex application landscape quickly
, including functionality hidden in legacy batch processes.
