Java Developer – Spring Boot & Cloud

Introduction

We are seeking a senior Java Developer with expertise in Spring Boot and Cloud technologies to join an Agile team employing the Scrum methodology. The candidate will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and integrating software solutions, collaborating closely with team members to deliver value-added features during each sprint. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to extend beyond their area of expertise to contribute to collective goals while adhering to development, security, and architectural best practices.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborating with team members to meet sprint goals.
• Designing and implementing software applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Conducting thorough testing and integration of software solutions.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Adhering to coding standards, security protocols, and best practices.
• Mentoring junior developers and aiding in knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in designing and developing microservices and distributed architectures.
• Experience with Cloud application development.
• Strong understanding of IT architecture, including operating systems, networks, databases, middleware, and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with development methods, security standards, and associated tools.
• Minimum three years of relevant development experience.
• Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum.
• Fluent in English for meetings and documentation.

Plus to Have

• Experience integrating various technologies, including with mainframe and distributed environments.
• Familiarity with IBM Cloud, ideally in the DMZR environment.
• Knowledge of KESMA and Elasticsearch.
• Speaking French within the team is a plus.
• Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.

Other Working conditions involve a hybrid model, with approximately 50% onsite presence and 50% remote work.
