We are currently seeking a Java Developer to support a prestigious European Institution in Brussels. 🏛️🇪🇺
🖥️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using Java technologies and modern development frameworks;
- Design, build and integrate software components while ensuring code quality, scalability and maintainability;
- Develop secure applications by implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID Connect);
- Design and consume REST and/or SOAP Web Services;
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software issues while improving application performance;
- Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation;
- Participate in system integration, deployment and configuration activities;
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams following Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
📝 REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field;
- Excellent knowledge of Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Hibernate);
- Good knowledge of REST/SOAP Web Services and software integration;
- Good understanding of web security, authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect);
- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle experience is an asset);
- Experience with development tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube and GitHub;
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent command of English.
This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence in Brussels at least 3 days per week. 📍
