My name is Amelie, and I am a 22-year-old Translation and Interpreting student with a strong passion for languages, particularly French and English. Internationally minded, I am enthusiastic about travelling and discovering new cultures. I enjoy customer-facing roles and working with people from diverse backgrounds. • Customer service and client assistance: assisted clients with claims and administrative procedures.
• Team collaboration and coordination: as a student worker, trained and onboarded new employees, guiding them through the department's daily operations based on 4 years of hands-on experience.
• Working accurately under pressure: managed sensitive customer information with confidentiality and helped resolve customer issues efficiently and calmly.

Internship - International Innovation Lab at Ahlex Zaventem (2024-01 – Present)

Participated in the International Innovation Lab at UCLL, collaborating on an innovative project, working at Ahlex in Zaventem to gain hands-on professional experience.

• Working in a multilingual setting with people from different backgrounds such as Slovenia, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.
• Developed a game for young people to educate them in the field of logistics and aviation industry in order to attract young people to work at the airport.
• Gaining insights in the aviation industry doing multiple company visits, such as DHL Forwarding, Qatar Airways, Hazgo, Dnata, and Swiss Port

Volunteer work at Multiple Locations (2024-01 – Present)

• Thailand: Taught English to children at a primary school for 1.5 months.
• Thailand: Played games and took part in recreational activities with local children in Korat.
• Costa Rica: volunteered at an animal rescue centre in the heart of the rainforest for 1 month (Kids Saving the Rainforest).
• Costa Rica: Feeding the animals and cleaning their enclosures.
