The company's mission is to empower next-generation airborne platforms with advanced sensing capabilities that enhance situational awareness, operational effectiveness, and decision-making in demanding and dynamic environments.
They develop high-performance sensing systems that combine RF/antenna engineering, advanced electronics, and signal processing, including AI-assisted methods, to enable reliable detection, tracking, and classification of objects in complex operational scenarios. Their technologies are designed to support mission-critical operations and provide a technological advantage to airborne platforms operating in both civil and defense domains.
As a growing engineering company, our client is building a focused, high-caliber team to develop next-generation airborne sensing technologies. They are currently looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of their first products.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate system-level requirements into software specifications
- Develop and integrate device drivers for embedded peripherals and interfaces
- Implement task scheduling and optimize real-time data pipelines
- Implement system control logic
- Implement fault management and health monitoring logic
- Prototype bring up and lab testing
- Support system integration and flight testing
- Contribute to DFM and production readiness reviews
- Document designs in line with Quality and System Engineering processes
Required Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in real-time embedded software development
- Strong proficiency in C/C
- Experience with:
- Hardware interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet
- Device driver integration
- DMA controllers
- Experience with embedded debugging tools such as JTAG/SWD, logic analyzer, and oscilloscope
- Understanding of microprocessor architectures and design trade-offs
- Experience with version control systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with SoC-based systems
- Experience with Embedded Linux
- Familiarity with defense or aerospace-grade design constraints
- Understanding of signal processing pipelines
