The Job

We are looking for a talented and driven Engineering Manager to join our fast-growing team in Sofia. As an Engineering Manager, you need to be closely familiar with Software Engineering and SDLC and will be expected to leverage that knowledge to develop sustainable solutions, develop your team, develop your expertise, and grow together as a team.

Some of your key responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a cross-functional team of engineers to deliver outcomes
• Take ownership of the development of applications
• Manage collaboration with external stakeholders
• Drive technical discussions on application design and architecture
• Drive improvements in our toolset, standards, and software solutions
• Apply industry best practices and software engineering standards to achieve highest quality

We’re looking for a person with:

• Five or more years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience in mentoring people.
• Experience in leading software development projects.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams (Developers, DevOps Engineers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and other Stakeholders)
• Be a team player to contribute to your team's success. "Ego" is a hated word.

Can Be an Advantage

• Experience with managing career development for other team members.
• Experience in building microservices and knowledge of common architecture patterns.
• Working experience with containerized applications and understanding of orchestration.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques, such as caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
• Experience with secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, and web application security.
