Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of in-house, joint venture (JV), and hybrid renewable energy projects from origination through development until the start of construction.
• Identify, evaluate, and originate new wind project opportunities within the region.
• Assess project feasibility, including land availability, permitting requirements, environmental considerations, and grid connection opportunities.
• Manage day-to-day collaboration with development partners and joint venture stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Support the evaluation and due diligence of potential project acquisitions.
• Perform high-level wind farm layout and design assessments to support project feasibility and optimization.
• Coordinate with internal technical, legal, environmental, and commercial teams throughout the development process.
• Manage project schedules, risks, and key milestones to ensure timely project progression.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, authorities, consultants, grid operators, and other external stakeholders.
• Prepare project documentation, development reports, and presentations for internal decision-making and investment processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, permitting processes, and industry standards.

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Sciences or a related field.
• Proven experience in wind project development, ideally with utility-scale projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading renewable energy projects through the development phase.
• Solid understanding of wind project permitting and development processes.
• Ability to review grid constraints, grid connection requirements, and grid management processes.
• Capability to perform high-level wind farm design and project layout assessments.
• Experience working with development partners, joint ventures, or external stakeholders is considered an advantage.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in Bulgarian and English, both written and spoken.
• A valid Category B driving license and willingness to travel by car as part of the role.
