I have currently concluded my career in the British Army after more than twelve years of dedicated service. I am now transitioning to civilian employment, drawing upon the extensive skills, experience and discipline gained throughout my military service. I'm a fully qualified Electrician by trade and a fully qualified Site Manager.

I am proven, organised and efficient. I am also consistently able to deliver in extremely challenging, tiring, demanding and pressurised work environments. Until very recently, I was also running my own company subcontracting from IGNE UXO on the SZC Project.

Lastly, I am a very approachable human being of vast life experience and emotional intelligence.

• I am part of the UXO Clearance, CPT Rigs and N.I.M.S Teams, subcontracting for IGNE UXO on the SZC Project.
• Responsibilities include the identification and safe removal of potential UXO hazards, as well as supporting the operation and deployment of CPT rigs to assess ground conditions.
• Consistently demonstrate ability to work effectively in high-risk environments, ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant protocols whilst maintaining the efficiency required to meet rigorous project deadlines.

EOD & Search Instructor, then Reconnaissance Soldier, then Royal Engineers - British Army

(2013-01 - 2025-11)

• Long range primarily dismounted Reconnaissance Soldier for 6 years. Transferred over to the Royal Engineers to qualify in Advanced Search & EOD and study my Electricians Trade again.
• Just finished post as an EOD & Search Instructor in DEMS (Defence Explosives & Munitions School) Bicester.
• Prior to DEMS post, was part of and led Teams in C.T. Operations and M.A.C.A. Taskings for 2.5 years. This role involved commanding multiple soldiers on highly sensitive operations whilst sometimes also ensuring the safety & security of VVIPs, including politicians, world leaders, and members of the Royal Family on numerous occasions.
• Operated at the highest professional standards where precision was essential and there was absolutely no margin for error.
• Responsibilities required a meticulous and methodical approach, especially when producing detailed reports that captured critical information.
• Frequent liaison with C.T. Police and Security Services was a fundamental aspect of the position, ensuring clear communication and collaboration to support operational effectiveness and maintain the utmost levels of security.
• Between 2018 and 2020, completed a series of rigorous Civilian and Military Electrician's Courses including Electrical Installations 18th Edition, 2391–52 Inspection & Testing qualification, and Level 4 Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Obtained a dedicated military qualification in underground cable systems.
• Developed significant competency in the operation and maintenance of critical site equipment, including generators, lighting towers, and various types of construction machinery.
• Excelled in both physically and psychologically demanding selection processes, earning promotions through perseverance and outstanding performance.
• Participated in numerous exercises and live fire drills, undertook reconnaissance patrols, and produced detailed reports.
• Operated and drove a wide range of military and civilian vehicles across the globe.
• Leadership extended to commanding armed guard units at guardrooms and main entry points on military camps worldwide.

Electrician - Self-Employed - Dublin, Ireland

(2005-02 - 2010)

• For several years, ran a successful domestic Electrical Installation Business, but due to the economic downturn and financial crisis in Ireland from 2008 onwards, had to relocate to the UK in early 2012 in search of work.
• Undertook a broad range of domestic electrical work involving comprehensive electrical installation and maintenance services in private homes, ensuring all systems were safe, compliant, and efficient.
• Fulfilled maintenance contracts for hotels, colleges, and similar establishments, maintaining the reliability and safety of their electrical infrastructure through regular servicing and prompt repairs.
• Involved in various commercial projects including undertaking electrical installations and upgrades for small businesses, as well as supporting small building projects such as property extensions.
• Worked in close collaboration with clients and other trades, employing a flexible, solutions-oriented approach to ensure successful completion of each project to the highest standard.
