I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Eastern Mediterranean University (Sept. 2021). My Ph.D. study greatly impacted my academic and research knowledge, especially in wireless sensor networks. I gained knowledge about new trends in wireless networks, specifically, the benefits of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), which is related to my Ph.D. thesis topic entitled " Metaheuristic-based Approaches for Solving the Controller Placement Problem in Software-Defined Wireless Sensor Networks." The thesis carries a study based on different heuristic approaches such as Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Problem (GRASP) Algorithm to find the optimal number of SDN controllers and to measure the effect of SDN on network performance metrics such as reliability, worst-case latency, throughput, and network lifetime.
Currently, I am an assistant professor of Informatics Engineering Department, University of Technology Bahrain. Besides, I am contributing in a book chapter entitled: "RealTime Cloud Applications". I have few number of Journal articles published in Q1 journals such as International Journal of Communication Systems (IJCS), IEEE Sensors Journal, Engineered Science Journal, and Egyptian Informatics Journal. Also, I have four published conference papers.
