Data Engineer (Python/React/AWS)

We are looking for a

Data Engineer to join their agile data and engineering practice. You will work alongside developers and engineers from multiple organizations to complete backlog items, build and test cloud-native software, and communicate directly with business partners to understand and implement user needs. You will also maintain cloud-based platforms, create documentation, and help troubleshoot issues in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile software development team to complete backlog items alongside engineers from multiple organizations
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure every function, service, and object is compatible with team deliverables and the broader system portfolio
• Communicate with business partners to understand user needs and translate them into software solutions
• Create documentation for both developers and business users
• Maintain cloud-based platforms and environments, troubleshooting and patching functional and data issues in lower and production environments
• Translate business process requirements into clear technical specifications

Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing relational databases in production.
• Experience managing large-scale data migrations and managing schema through code.
• Proficiency developing web applications in Python.
• Experience in building responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces using modern JavaScript/ React frameworks.
• Extensive experience in writing complex SQL & stored procedures.
• Strong ability to tune high-performance database queries
• Strong experience in API design and development.
• Experience in building production-grade, cloud-native software in AWS

Elasticsearch implementation experience

• Strong experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with automated test/build/deploy tools in a Python and React Tech stack.
