Responsibilities
- Deliver scalable Java services and evolve them to meet changing requirements
- Build accessible Angular interfaces and use JavaScript to ensure smooth interactions for clients
- Manage MS SQL data structures by designing schemas, optimizing SQL queries, and protecting data accuracy
- Practice test-first development and create thorough unit tests across frontend and backend components
- Work with Product, QA, and DevOps to ensure features are production-ready and released efficiently
- Define technical designs and implementation tasks based on business goals and constraints
- Troubleshoot failures, determine root causes, and deploy fixes that prevent repeat problems
- Support codebase quality through reviews, refactoring of legacy areas, and adherence to standards
- Engage in Agile ceremonies including daily check-ins, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
- Maintain and improve documentation describing features, systems, and operational processes
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on work delivering Java server-side solutions and APIs
- Proven experience building Angular web applications with modern frontend engineering patterns
- Strong JavaScript capability for creating responsive, interactive browser behavior
- Experience with relational databases and SQL, with preference for Microsoft SQL Server
- Practical use of automated unit tests and Test-Driven Development in day-to-day work
- Understanding of software delivery stages from discovery through implementation and support
- Ability to write clear, efficient, and maintainable code that scales with team needs
- Analytical thinking skills to debug, investigate, and solve challenging technical issues
- Written and spoken English at upper-intermediate B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or another cloud provider for building and operating systems
- Understanding of cloud architecture practices for elastic and fault-tolerant designs
- Experience working within Scrum or Agile frameworks with iterative planning cycles
- Comfort collaborating with remote or distributed teams using clear communication
- Ability to nurture teamwork through constructive feedback, shared priorities, and cooperation
