Python Developer at BairesDev We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate backend services and data processing systems running in AWS. You'll work on distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous processing pipelines with full ownership from design to production. Your main objective is to develop reliable, scalable microservices and asynchronous pipelines that power core product functionality. You'll be comfortable owning systems end-to-end — from design and implementation to deployment and ongoing production support. What You'll Do: - Design and implement backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Build and maintain asynchronous and batch processing systems using AWS including SQS, Lambda, and ECS.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Deploy and operate services in AWS.
- Debug and resolve production issues in distributed systems, improve system reliability, performance, and observability. What we are looking for: - 5+ years of production backend experience with Python.
- Strong experience with FastAPI.
- Production experience with AWS and event-driven architecture.
- Experience building distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL databases with advanced query skills including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Pytest for unit and integration testing.
- Advanced proficiency in English. Nice to have: - Experience with Java Spring Boot.
- Experience with OpenSearch.
- Experience with Redis.
- Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Experience with Terraform.
