Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site QA Engineer role based in São Paulo, focused on revision and code review within an Engine Tools QA team.

We're looking for a QA analyst with a code review and systems testing background. someone who has spent time in engine tools, SDKs, or platform-level software, reviewing changes and communicating findings to engineers.

This role emphasizes critical thinking, structured analysis, and clear technical communication over automation ownership or development output. You will be reviewing code-related changes, validating quality through manual analysis and testing, and collaborating closely with engineers to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

This is not a developer or SDET role.

Success is defined by quality of review, clarity of feedback, and contribution to team effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review code changes and diffs, providing clear, risk-aware QA feedback in a gatekeeping capacity
  • Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documentation
  • Collaborate directly with engineers and stakeholders in English
  • Support risk-based testing discussions and validation strategies
  • Estimate and coordinate QA activities aligned with team timelines
  • Mentor other QA team members and promote consistent quality practices
  • Communicate progress, risks, and findings clearly in written updates and meetings

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience reviewing code changes (diffs/PRs) and providing structured QA feedback in a revision or gatekeeping capacity
  • Familiarity with C++ or C# in a read-and-analyze context . you don't write production code, but you can read a diff, follow logic, and identify risk
  • Experience with engine tools, SDK testing, or systems-level software
  • Strong written communication skills and professional judgment
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Comfort engaging directly with engineers in technical discussions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Preferred Background

  • Prior exposure to platform-level validation
  • Experience with performance testing
  • Familiarity with Java or JavaScript in a QA context
  • Experience with API testing or validating request/response behavior
