We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a Troubleshooting team responsible for the stability and reliability of complex, cloud-based, production-grade systems. This is a hands-on backend role — you'll work close to real production issues, distributed systems, and architecture decisions, not just feature delivery. The role sits at the intersection of Python and Java/Spring Boot, so strong, recent, real-world experience across both is essential to succeed here.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Java/Spring Boot
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems, performing deep root cause analysis
- Build and evolve microservices architectures deployed in cloud environments
- Design, query, and optimize data models using PostgreSQL
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Collaborate closely with engineering peers to improve system observability, stability, and resilience
- Partner cross-functionally to define, implement, and troubleshoot integrations and platform features
- Take ownership of technical problems end-to-end, from investigation through resolution
Required Qualifications
- Strong, recent, hands-on experience building and maintaining real backend applications in Python
- Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments
- Practical experience working with PostgreSQL
- Proven experience designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs
- Experience working with cloud-based, production-grade systems
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in distributed, production environments
- Comfortable engaging in system design discussions and architectural trade-off conversations
- Ownership mindset and autonomy working through complex, ambiguous technical problems
- Advanced to Fluent English for daily collaboration with international teams.
Nice To Have Skills
- Experience with observability and monitoring tooling for production systems
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code or additional cloud services
- Exposure to building AI agents or agentic workflows
- Experience working in consultancy or multi-client environments
