Description
Role summaryAs an SQA Engineer, you will design and execute test strategies that ensure the reliability, accuracy, and consistency of applications, automations, and custom-built solutions. You’ll play a critical role in helping citizen developers validate their agents and workflows, bridging traditional QA principles with emerging quality challenges — including testing Microsoft AI agent builder tools and internally developed platforms.
This role is ideal for a QA engineer with strong automation skills and a passion for new technologies, who is eager to apply proven testing discipline to next-generation intelligent solutions.
Role expectations
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test cases for agents, workflows, and custom-built solutions.
- Validate agent behavior, automation logic, and integration points across Microsoft tools (e.g., Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry) and internal platforms.
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks to support citizen developer testing and enterprise-grade solutions.
- Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and citizen developers to diagnose, document, and track defects.
- Evaluate agent performance, prompt behavior, and edge cases against predefined benchmarks.
- Contribute to CI/CD testing processes and pipelines for deployments.
- Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an SQA, Test Automation, or QA Engineer.
- Ability to speak and write English fluently (B2+).
- Proficiency in Python and one or more of: JavaScript, Java, or TypeScript for automation scripting.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
- Experience building or maintaining test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright).
- Working knowledge of SQL and structured data validation.
- Familiarity with AI agent workflows, LLM fundamentals, and prompt evaluation.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and using tools such as Postman or pytest-requests.
- Exposure to cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also valuable) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
