We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a fast-paced Product Engineering team working on a large-scale, high-traffic web and mobile platform.

You will work in a mature production environment with real architectural complexity, contributing across the entire product stack: React and React Native applications, Node.js microservices, GraphQL APIs, databases, background jobs, and event-driven systems.

This is a hands-on, coding-focused role, with most of your time dedicated to building and evolving product features using React, React Native, TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL. You will also have the opportunity to work across the broader engineering ecosystem, supporting the analytics platform, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and cloud infrastructure.

The team owns its features end-to-end, from the user interface to APIs, data, deployment, and production support.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain scalable web and mobile applications using React, React Native/Expo, TypeScript, and established design systems, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and responsive user experiences.
• Develop and evolve GraphQL (Apollo) and REST APIs using Node.js/TypeScript, including microservices, API contracts, database integrations, background jobs, and asynchronous/event-driven processing.
• Work with MongoDB, Redis, and domain-event/message-based architectures, ensuring services are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and well tested.
• Integrate frontend applications with APIs and implement unit, integration, and E2E testing across the stack using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, and Playwright.
• Contribute to the data platform, maintaining dbt models and supporting Snowflake-based analytics pipelines, data transformations, testing, documentation, and workflow orchestration.
• Support CI/CD, deployments, and production operations, working with Docker, AWS, logging, metrics, monitoring, error tracking, and incident troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to define features, estimate effort, evaluate technical trade-offs, and ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, proactively identify risks and blockers, navigate ambiguous problems, and contribute across unfamiliar areas of the stack when needed.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery while validating generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.

What We're Looking For

• Professional software engineering experience, with a strong full-stack or backend-leaning background.
• Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript/ES6+ and TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, including functional components, hooks, and state management.
• Production experience with React Native, ideally with Expo, including maintaining a live mobile application.
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
• Hands-on experience building and consuming GraphQL APIs, preferably with Apollo, as well as REST APIs.
• Experience designing and evolving GraphQL schemas and API contracts.
• Experience working with MongoDB or another document-oriented database.
• Strong understanding of automated testing, including unit and integration testing across frontend and backend.
• Experience with tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, and familiarity with E2E testing frameworks such as Playwright.
• Solid understanding of Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken, with the ability to clearly communicate technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Strong ownership and autonomy, with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems and drive work to completion.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js and modern rendering strategies such as SSR, SSG, or ISR.
• Experience with dbt and Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues, such as RabbitMQ/AMQP or Kafka.
• Experience working in monorepos using tools such as Nx, Lerna, or Yarn Workspaces.
• Experience with product analytics platforms such as Segment or similar typed-tracking solutions.
• Experience integrating with headless CMS platforms.
• Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog, OpenTelemetry, or CloudWatch.
• Experience with Algolia, Elasticsearch, Stripe, feature flagging, or experimentation platforms.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Buildkite, EAS, or Fastlane.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as part of a broader engineering workflow.
