ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACCOUNTING MANAGER - GLOBAL SCOPE at SLB (FORMER SCHLUMBERGER) (2021-07 – Present)

In a new function in the organization that merged Accounts Payable and General Accounting core activities, I was chosen to form from scratch and lead a team composed initially of 3 and scaling up to 20 Accounts Payable Analysts/ Specialists as direct reports, managing an AP Liability of over 2 billion dollars on average with the purpose of bringing to next level the overall quality of Balance Sheet Notes and account reconciliation, increasing payment compliance and preserving the company cash flow by preventing incorrect payments prior occurrence, detecting incorrect payments after occurrence, and collecting supplier refunds due to overpayment when applicable.

• End-to-end ownership of accounts payable process, including month-end reconciliations and accurate GL posting.
• Drive process improvements and standardization, including automation initiatives to scale up AP workflows and reduce manual tasks.
• Follow up of AP Metrics and KPIs via Power BI dashboards.
• Adherence to SLB Finance Manual and Finance Procedures.
• Accounting reports under USGAAP in multiple ERPs (SAP, Oracle, and Lawson): Balance Sheet Notes, Balance Sheet Exposure and Quarterly Control Confirmation in compliance with SOX standards.
• Support role on SAP migration (i.e., reconciliation of closing balances from previous ERP, either Lawson or Oracle, and initial balances in SAP ITT).

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE LEAD – NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA SCOPE at SLB (FORMER SCHLUMBERGER) (2020-02 – 2021-06)

Coordinated the Accounts Payable department migration from Houston Procurement Hub to Bogota Procurement Hub, avoiding business disruption, preserving knowledge, improving team performance (response time) and generating cost savings for the company, resulting in earning a Bronze Medal in the 2021 PBS Award (Annual award granted by SLB CEO). Leader of a team of 22 payment specialists as direct reports, responsible for: 1) urgent payment process (urgent, manual, direct debit and direct bill payments) in accordance with SLB policy; 2) ensuring the integrity of CKD (Country Knowledge Document); 3) managing interactions with outsource provider Accenture and monitoring KPIs defined by Service Level Agreement (SLA).

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT LEADER - VIM/DFM CELL - NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA SCOPE at SLB (FORMER SCHLUMBERGER) (2019-05 – 2020-01)

Support to Supply Chain organization (P2P - Procure to Pay process). Leader of a newly created team of 8 experts in SAP (Vendor Invoice Management - VIM), Lawson and Oracle (DFM) ERPs/platforms which conduct root cause analysis, case investigation and resolution of failures related to three-way match process (purchase order, goods receipt and supplier invoice), simplifying the process and driving auto-posting of supplier's invoices (automated process), improving payment on time and relationship with suppliers.
