Inspiration

Something is working in me when I am inspired but only I determine how that works in me and whether that leads to strong or weak expiration. We can be inspired by the people we love and lose in our life journey, as we are most definitely inspired by the voices of the past, which we do not look upon as being dead. Inspiring and expiring is however more than just input and output.
When I read Milos's comment prior to it, we shared this idea of the fractal. In my interest in emergence, the fractal is a natural fit, but Milos's comment made me realize is that the fractal belongs to mathematics, not unto itself. Which then reminded me of the origins of Benoit Mandelbrot and who he he was - not a "fractalogist" but a mathematician. This brings mathematics, science and art together as an emergence. The caricature of that is what I call "Emeri Gent" and when that becomes a palace in my own mind, I am no longer concerned about my brand, or my image, or my identity but can focus my attention on what the act of inspiration personally effects me and in the expiration of inspiration if the transformation is actually a change or simply an adjustment.
As I begun this particular reflection, I mentioned "supernal being" and this is an important distinction personally for me because I do not treat supernal and spiritual as the same thing. What inspired me about the comment Milos made was that it reinforced the connection between mathematics and beauty, and why I need to peel away mathematics as an expression of beauty and life from the commercial processes such as economics, statistics, finance and analytics. The inspiration therefore is rescuing mathematics from this lesser view of math.
Mathematics describes nature, but we nurture the math of success and urban investment. That is how I was viewing math, even though I have myself commented about the relationship between mathematics and beauty. This what shines through the words of Mandelbrot even though this video does not show the visuals - his words alone remain inspiring.
If we are inspired but not breathing then we turn inspiration back into gas. If we are breathing but not transforming we are wasting the quality of our own breath, if we transforming but not inspired we are creating transformation that is not whole. If we are whole but continue to live in a divided village - then we continue to look for inspiration. This is the greatest waste of energy.
Energy applied is not instruction, it is a practice and what I engage here is a practice. We are inspired by leaders but not by our own practice of leadership. We are happy to point out disorder in the world but hard pushed to ask ourselves whether we have contributed in any way to that disorder. When inspiration leads us to be inspired by finger pointing we are not treating inspiration as a practical wisdom, but simply touching the cloak of another - turning inspiration into a form of idolatry. I can hear the reality of pedestal seekers because they are merely inspired us by their image and projections. So long as we live in that world our fingers point at it and so we become experts of its darkness, rather than students of our own inspiration.
