The Collaborative Plaform for Professionals

All I can say when I closed my bebee page is hallelujah !!!
"The Collaborative Platform for Professionals" is the kind of big picture idea that I absolutely identify with. Now I realize why we still use terms like social recruiting and social selling, because there is a dark side that is more sith than the sith when it comes the underbelly of the recruiting world and snake oil selling. Yet the broader aim of making the professional world more collaborative is highly laudable, and is also highly relevant to the 20th Century. So now that I no longer close to the words "successful personal branding' first I must emphasize the the hallelujah - and as I think about the word hallelujah, may the Spanish speaking world also embrace a short form for that word i.e. Jah! Jah! Jah! as much as Spanish people have embraced the tradition of saying Ja! Ja! Ja! :-) I must celebrate this with KD Lang's version of Leonard Cohen classic, which she sang at the Olympics :
For sure the future of professional work is centered on greater collaborative mindsets. The paradox of course is the ability to view that collaboration as a means to greater competitive advantage rather than less. For those who have a utopian mindset and where the thinking is restricted to that of "positive thinking", that addresses the world as it is. I am not at all interested in the world as it is because this is an abject and ghastly world. I gravitate to what the world can be, without sinking into a momentary culture of happy talk. That world is open to us for the simple reason that if we can avert our eyes to all that which is not working, we will begin to see the presence of those areas of life that are working and are worthy of being called 21st Century work.
Now it is laudable goal to make the professional world more collaborative because there is so much wiggle room in this particular world, that in terms of low hanging fruit, it represents the equivalent of the "Garden-of-Eden-for-Low-Hanging-Fruit" which I will shorten GOEFLH for the simple reason that the professional world still loves acronyms than it does forging a more human based form of professionalism. The dog-eat-dog world that represents the core of the modern professional world is not going away anytime soon, so there is no panacea or magic bullet that will solve that, other than the human beings call themselves as this type of "professional" will eventually and simply die out and be replaced by people who carry 21st Century professional values - however they transpire or transform because the 21st Century is only 17 years old i.e. it has not even come of age yet.
I say hallelujah because the new formulation is worthy of being called strategic thinking. Much of what I had to say about "personal branding" was in reaction to having to close bebee to the words "Successful Personal Branding" and so I can safely assume that these three ghastly words that represent the world as it is today, rather than what it should be, are words that I am no longer accosted with here, as I continue my own learning pathways online. Then there is the promise of the new beBee design to come and which is in beta state - and if that design is as bright and intelligent as the new formulation "The Collaborative Platform for Professionals" and the vision of making the professional world more collaborative, then yet again, I must say again "hallelujah" !!!
