AIOps/MLOps Engineer

We're looking for an AIOps/MLOps Engineer for a 6-month remote contract based in Canada. This is a greenfield role with real ownership — you'd be architecting and operationalizing a multi-environment AI platform on Google Cloud from the ground up.

Here's a snapshot of what the role involves:

• Provisioning Sandbox, Dev, and Prod GCP environments using Terraform
• Designing IAM governance, VPC architecture, and security controls for Vertex AI
• Building CI/CD pipelines and AIOps automation (drift detection, canary releases, rollback)
• Defining the end-to-end ML lifecycle and documenting it in runbooks and playbooks
• Building cost models and long-term TCO forecasts The ideal candidate has deep GCP experience (Vertex AI, Cloud Build, IAM, VPC), strong Terraform skills, and a practical background in MLOps or AIOps frameworks. Python automation experience and GCP certifications are a big plus.
