Employee TypeFull TimeVacancy TypePermanentTown/RegionHalifax, NSAbout the roleLockheed Martin Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Courseware Developer (CW Dev) to join our Technical Training team. The CW Dev is responsible for development of training products across domestic and international programs. This role will support the courseware team in the development and testing of training products and solutions.

The CW Dev will report to the Training Technical Operations Associate Manager and will execute individual technical work across multiple programs. The CW Dev will work alongside key internal stakeholders to ensure that the developed training solutions meet the high standards and specific needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, creative and flexible in meeting our Customers' needs.Tasks Include:

  • Follow the internationally recognized ADDIE model in the development of training products
  • Represent Lockheed Martin Canada's Technical Training team as a Subject Matter Expert in training product development, training systems and solutions
  • Support courseware quality assurance/testing of training methods and media for a variety of environments
  • Contribute to the design of training solutions to meet technical requirements across a variety of environments for customers
  • Contribute to the development of assessment strategies, evaluation and validation processes and tools, evaluation and validation activities and final reports
  • Support a diverse and inclusive team environment
  • Function within a hybrid work force
What you bring to the role

  • Professional training development experience
  • Strong understanding of courseware development processes, from design to deployment
  • Strong understanding of eLearning concepts, principles and standards (SCORM, xAPI)
  • Familiarity with using industry-standard tools for courseware development, such as dominKnow, Storyline 3, Adobe Creative Cloud, Learning Management Systems, video and audio editing tools
  • Experience with courseware authoring with an adult learning focus
  • Experience in designing traditional, blended and virtual training across interactive media instruction levels 1 through 4
  • Experience in managing multiple conflicting priorities while progressing milestone tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication
Additional skills desired for the role

  • Experience with Military training solutions considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Jira, Windchill and Confluence
  • User experience and user interface design concepts
  • Experience with Agile methodology and frameworks
  • Understanding and ability to adapt HTML/CSS/JavaScript files
  • Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to embrace change
