Position Description:

We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45+ years, we're still growing! Join Canada's largest IT Company as a Data Engineering Consultant, in our Financial Services Sector in Toronto.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office at a minimum 2 - 3 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, performance optimization for large OLTP / OLAP applications
  • Good knowledge on solutioning high volume data pipelines involving millions of records per day
  • Advanced level experience and knowledge with the primary managed data services within GCP, including DataProc, Dataflow, BigQuery/DBT, Cloud SQL
  • Hands on experience in platforms such as GCP Big Query/ AWS Redshift
  • Knowledge on Azure ADF is an asset
  • Proficiency in Python, data processing frameworks, and ETL/ELT processes
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and frameworks like Terraform
  • Experience with data streaming and technologies such as Kafka, Spark-streaming etc. would be an asset
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively convey ideas to business and technical teams

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,–$,. This role is an existing vacancy.
