Enactus Canada is looking for a Director, Programs to join our National Office team in downtown Toronto.
Enactus Canada is a national charity that develops entrepreneurial leaders committed to building a more sustainable and inclusive world. Through experiential learning, mentorship, and national programming, students launch ventures and community initiatives that improve lives while developing the leadership and entrepreneurial skills needed for today’s evolving economy.
Each year, more than 2,000 students across 75 campuses collaborate with faculty advisors, business mentors, and alumni to launch initiatives that improve communities across Canada and beyond.
As part of Enactus Canada’s 2023–2028 strategic plan, the organization is focused on expanding student access to entrepreneurial leadership opportunities while strengthening the quality and impact of the Enactus experience. This work is guided by strategic priorities to enhance the student experience, expand access to the program, strengthen partnerships and financial sustainability, and ensure organizational excellence.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Enactus Canada is seeking a strategic program leader passionate about developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. The Director, Programs will play an important leadership role in strengthening the student experience and supporting the continued growth and impact of the Enactus Canada network. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of entrepreneurship, leadership development, and post-secondary education, and who enjoys working with students, faculty, and partners to build programs that translate ideas into meaningful impact.
This role is based in Toronto and operates within a hybrid work environment. Team members are generally expected to work in the office 3-4 days per week, with flexibility for remote work as appropriate. During peak periods of the program calendar (including Regional Expositions, the National Exposition, and other major events), additional in-office collaboration may be required.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Director, Programs, your primary responsibility will be to lead the national programming that engages post-secondary students across campuses across Canada, fostering the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders through experiential learning and social innovation. Collaborate with a national network of academic partners, business leaders, alumni, and volunteers to create meaningful social and economic impact.
Program Strategy & Development
- Lead the development and implementation of the national program strategy aligned with Enactus Canada’s strategic priorities.
- Strengthen the leadership development and entrepreneurial learning experience for participating students.
- Identify opportunities to enhance existing programming and develop new initiatives that increase student engagement, impact, and venture success.
- Support the continued expansion of the Enactus network by increasing student access and engagement across participating campuses.
Program Delivery & Operations
- Oversee the delivery of Enactus programming across post-secondary campuses nationwide.
- Manage and coach a team responsible for program delivery, training, and student engagement.
- Support major program milestones, including Regional Expositions, the National Exposition, and global competition opportunities.
- Ensure programs are delivered effectively and consistently across the network.
University & Partner Engagement
- Build strong relationships with faculty advisors, entrepreneurship centres, and academic administrators at participating institutions.
- Collaborate with corporate and foundation partners connected to program initiatives.
- Represent Enactus Canada within the broader ecosystem of entrepreneurship and social innovation.
Organizational Leadership
- Contribute to organizational planning and cross-team initiatives within a small national team.
- Prepare reports and insights for senior leadership and the Board of Directors as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in program leadership, entrepreneurship, social innovation, leadership development, higher education, or a related field.
· Experience designing or delivering leadership development or experiential learning programs, particularly for post-secondary students.
· Experience working with entrepreneurship, social enterprise, or venture development initiatives.
· Experience engaging with post-secondary institutions, including faculty and academic senior administrators.
· Demonstrated experience managing and coaching staff.
· Ability to take programs or initiatives from concept through implementation and growth.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with students, faculty, university administrators, corporate partners, and volunteers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong program management and organizational abilities.
- Strategic thinking combined with a willingness to contribute operationally within a small team.
- Ability and willingness to travel across Canada for program delivery and partner engagement, including institutional partner outreach, Regional Expositions, the National Exposition, and international travel to the Enactus World Cup (minimum of five trips, generally 3-10 days annually).
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during major program events.
Assets
- Experience with Enactus as a student, faculty advisor, volunteer, or partner.
- Bilingualism (English/French).
- Experience with entrepreneurship education, incubators, accelerators, or leadership development programs.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Toronto-based role (hybrid) – in office 3-4 days per week
- Salary commensurate with experience ($76K-$95K per annum)
