Position OverviewAvolta is seeking a motivated and talented Electronics Student Intern to join our team as part of a co-op program.
This internship is structured as an educational and experiential learning opportunity, designed for students passionate about electronics and hardware development who wish to gain applied knowledge in a professional setting.
The internship provides training and learning experiences comparable to those found in post-secondary programs, with an emphasis on skill development and knowledge transfer rather than organizational benefit.
Interns will work under the close supervision of experienced professionals, ensuring mentorship and support throughout the placement. Please note that this is an unpaid, pro bono opportunity, intended strictly for students seeking co-op credit and academic enrichment.
Assist in the design and development of electronic systems for security applications, including automotive anti-theft systems.
Collaborate with team members to prototype, test, and refine hardware designs.
Participate in research and development activities to explore new technologies and techniques in electronics.
Contribute to the documentation and presentation of project findings and results.
Support the team in optimizing and deploying electronic systems for real-world applications.
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to share ideas and insights.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all tasks and interactions.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
Basic understanding of circuit design, embedded systems, and prototyping.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
High level of responsibility, maturity, and a willingness to learn.
Must be eligible to receive co-op credit through your academic institution.
Familiarity with IoT devices and wireless communication protocols.
Interest in automotive security, anti-theft technologies, or related fields.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
