ResonaiteOur client in the public sector is seeking a Frontend developer on a contract basis to enhance their digital applications.
Location: 2d - 3d Metro Hall
Duration: 6 months + extension
Build enhancements for the web applications supporting tax programs for citizens.Design, develop, and deploy a customer-service tool (public and staff-facing) to support triage and routing of citizen inquiries across business units.
Implement enhancements to eBilling and other revenue lookup applications interfacing with revenue databases.
Develop and consume RESTful APIs using JSON and XML.
Ensure applications comply with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.x AA, AODA, WAI-ARIA).
Participate in sustainment activities, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for production issues.
Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, and technical teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
Communicate technical and business requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5+ years experience in application development and sustainment within large, complex IT environments.
Strong hands-on experience with: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React, Bootstrap
Extensive experience developing and consuming REST APIs (JSON, XML).
Proven experience developing accessible digital products (WCAG 2.x AA, AODA, WAI-ARIA).
Experience optimizing accessibility features across platforms (HTML/web; exposure to mobile is an asset).
Experience supporting and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications.
Operate independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to proactively investigate incidents and participate in root-cause analysis during unplanned outages.
