Full Stack Developer (Java, Angular)

Location: Montreal

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Work Mode: Hybrid (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)

Responsibilities:

• Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization to discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
• Support implementation and integration of technology solutions in a cybersecurity context.
• Perform systems administration of multiple components, including operating systems and databases.
• Drive the adoption of security best practices and ensure team compliance with security policies.
• Collaborate with other technology and business leaders to ensure a cohesive security posture.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of Angular programming including TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for frontend development.
• Strong knowledge of core Java programming for backend code development with Spring Boot framework.
• Good knowledge of Unix commands, database queries, shell and bash scripting, database setup, and database modeling.
• Good knowledge of SDLC and CI/CD; should participate in the full Software Delivery Lifecycle, including design reviews, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability of applications.
• Experience in platform setup/creation and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of REST API data extraction from multiple sources.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Kafka streaming framework for data processing.
• Understanding of various firewall, application, system, platform logs to develop code for data normalization.
• Understanding of data analytics concepts.
• Ability to support the Cyber Security Threat Hunt team with data analytics needs and collaborate with technology, business, security, and regulatory teams.
• Ability to identify and highlight gaps in their own knowledge and proactively seek out the information required.
• Capable of synthesizing multiple asks and timelines into holistic, clearly defined milestones and deliverables within a dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to apply a high attention to detail and to work autonomously and to meet deadlines.
• Strong initiative and a proactive attitude in approach to work.
