They are currently looking for an Intermediate to Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to join their Toronto team.
About the Role You’ll work on technically challenging software engineering projects for enterprise clients, contributing across the full development lifecycle from solution design and architecture through development, testing and deployment.
The current technology environment includes TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, React, Next.js, Microsoft Azure and Docker.
Because this is a consulting environment, technologies and projects can evolve depending on client requirements. We’re looking for someone with strong engineering fundamentals who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies and taking ownership of solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop and deliver scalable full-stack applications
- Build backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
- Develop modern frontend applications using React and Next.js
- Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions
- Build and integrate REST and API-driven services
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Develop and deploy applications within Microsoft Azure
- Work with Docker and modern development environments
- Troubleshoot complex application and production issues
- Collaborate directly with developers, architects, project managers and business stakeholders
- Work closely with engineering teams across Canada and India
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and problem-solving
Required Skills &
Experience
- 4–7 years of professional software development experience
- Strong professional TypeScript experience
- Strong hands-on backend development experience with Node.js
- Experience building scalable APIs, services and backend applications
- Experience with NestJS or another Node.js backend framework, with the ability to become productive in NestJS quickly
- Strong frontend development experience with React
- Experience with Next.js
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Docker
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture and development practices
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Ability and interest in learning new technologies as project requirements evolve
- Experience using, or a strong interest in adopting, AI-assisted development tools
Bonus If You Have
- Consulting or professional services experience
- Experience with microservices or event-driven architectures
- Experience working with distributed or offshore development teams
- Experience building AI or LLM-powered applications
- Familiarity with Azure AI, OpenAI APIs or prompt/context engineering
- Open-source contributions or personal technical projects
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
