Transdev Canada is hiring an HSSE/Operations Supervisor for our Kitimat location
As a HSSE/Operations Supervisor at Transdev Canada, you will be a key player in overseeing and managing the day-to-day transportation operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and the highest level of service for our clients and passengers. This role involves leadership, operational optimization, and regulatory compliance.
Your role
- Ensure the successful implementation of safety programs and training for bus operators.
- Investigate and report on all vehicle collisions and on-the-job injuries, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Schedule and conduct safety meetings, refresher training, and additional coursework as required for operators.
- Maintain accurate training records, including licensing, performance, and compliance information for all personnel.
- Compile and report safety, accident, and worker’s compensation statistics.
- Oversee personnel functions, including recruitment, training, supervision, and discipline of staff dedicated to service safety.
- Deliver classroom-based training sessions and facilitate behind-the-wheel (BTW) training for operators.
- Develop and enhance training material, consolidating it into a cohesive document for driver education.
- Provide supervision of the drivers.
- Do field audits at peak hours.

- You live in Kitimat or near-by.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- You obtained the Certified Safety Officer (CSO) designation (required).
- You possess strong computer skills and proficiency in modern business applications.
- You have proven ability to manage training programs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- This is a consistent full-time, year-round job located in Kitimat, BC.
- Schedule details are 5days on/2days off, for 40 hours of work per week, with some weekends required.
