• *Position: Java Backend Developer
• *Location: Halifax NS
• *Key Responsibilities:
• Design and document robust API integrations for secure data exchange between internal systems and third‑party vendor APIs.
• Create detailed API specifications covering endpoints, request/response formats, authentication, and error‑handling processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug integration issues in collaboration with internal developers and external vendor teams.
• Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and compliance/audit stakeholders for requirement alignment.
• Develop deep expertise in large‑scale email message processing with high throughput, resilience, and fault tolerance.
• Build and optimize containerized applications with strong focus on security and performance.
• Conduct performance testing and apply tuning strategies to ensure low-latency, scalable application behavior.
• Support data ingestion, filtering, and processing workflows for massive email/chat/audio datasets.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to other engineers on the team.
• Collaborate in the development and integration of GenAI/LLM-driven components, including MCP client/server implementations.
• Implement best practices across CI/CD pipelines and contribute to stable deployments on Kubernetes.
• Deliver Level‑2 production support and ensure timely resolution of system and integration issues.
