Job Description

• Hands on design, development, testing and deployment of PnL renovation project for FX Cash and FX Derivatives products 
• Working closely with colleagues in the FX technology team and other technology teams that relay on FX transactions and PnL calculations
• Dealing with users that span sales and trading, office of FX EM COO, controllers and operations to clarify business requirements, obtain agreement on implementation approach and deployment of new solutions

The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with other developers but also independently with limited supervision. Meeting deadlines and delivering results to the business and to the rest of the team is paramount, as is having a strong sense of ownership and commitment. As Morgan Stanley employees, all technology team members are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and practice.

Skills Required

•  professional development experience: 5+ years
•  communication: able to express ideas clearly and concisely
•  strong fundamentals (multithreading, algorithms & OO)
•  strong core Java 
• solid data modeling, database design and performance tuning skills
• comfortable with XML

 

Skills Desired

 

• knowledge of Foreign Exchange Trading systems
• Problem solving/Mathematical/Analytical
• Design Patterns (including MVVM) 
• Databases: DB2 and/or Sybase tools
