Java Developer Contract

We are looking for an

• *Intermediate Java EE Developer**

for a

• *12-month contract position, with possible extensions**

in

• *Regina, Saskatchewan.
• *Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• *Position is available as on-site location. 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
• *Role Description

We are seeking an intermediate Java Developer responsible for analyzing requirements, designing and building scalable applications aligned with business goals, and ensuring high-quality delivery through testing, debugging, and Agile collaboration. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and related technologies, with a proven ability to manage complex projects and continuously improve systems and processes.

• *Responsibilities
• Analyze user requirements to inform application design.
• Define application objectives and functionality.
• Align application design with business goals.
• Create high level and detailed designs.
• Adhere to SI development and testing standards.
• Develop and unit test.
• Debug and remediate technical problems.
• Recommending changes to existing infrastructure.
• Develop multimedia applications.
• Develop and create documentation to assist users.
• Provide demonstrations.
• Participate in peer reviews.
• Participate in Sprint planning, stand- ups and retrospectives.
• Ensure continuous professional self-development.
• *Required Skills and Experience
• Education and training normally gained through post-secondary education at the University or Technical Institute level in one of the following: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer medium to large size projects).
• Minimum 5 years of J Unit.
• Minimum 3 years of Spring Boot and or Angular.
• Minimum 3 years experience with Maven/ Git, Database UI.
• Minimum 3 years of JSF 2.1.
• Minimum 3 years of JPA 2.0 using Hibernate.
• Proven experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects or one larger complex project including but not limited to project solution design, development, and testing.
• Previous experience and thorough knowledge in Agile and Agile/Hybrid methodology.
• Minimum of 3 years of IT and/or telecom experience preferred (wireline, wireless, converged). (Note: Relevant experience within the last 7 years).
• Previous experience with AI tools is an asset.
