Java Developer (ID#5298)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an experienced Java Developer to support enterprise application development initiatives within a federal government environment. The role involves designing, developing, and enhancing Java-based applications in an Agile setting, contributing to high-impact digital services used across Canada. This is an opportunity to work on complex, large-scale systems with modern development tools and frameworks.

• *Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java-based applications in an Agile environment
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and integrate RESTful web services and APIs
• Work with frameworks and tools such as Java JEE, Spring/Spring Boot
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, analysts, and testers
• Contribute to system documentation and technical specifications
• Support continuous improvement and modernization of applications
• *Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in application/software development
• 10+ years and expertise in Java development, including Java JEE, Spring / Spring Boot, and RESTful services
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions across the full software development lifecycle
• Experience working on large-scale or enterprise systems
• Ability to work with modern development tools and frameworks aligned with Java ecosystems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
