Title: Java Full stack developer

Location: Toronto - Onsite (4 days a week)

Duration: 6 Months 

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled professional with strong expertise in full stack development, particularly in Java and Angular, to join our innovative team. This role involves working on cutting-edge digital banking solutions, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
• Experience with cloud-native solutions on Azure
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices
• Experience in designing and developing scalable applications
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs
• Familiarity with CICD automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of AI concepts
• Experience with BNO SQL and Oracle
• Exposure to the banking financial services domain
• Understanding of RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Azure App Insights, Splunk, ELK
• Relevant certifications in Java, Cloud, or DevOps

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
• Implement cloud-native applications on Azure, leveraging services such as App Services, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps pipelines
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software
• Ensure adherence to secure coding standards and compliance with banking regulatory requirements
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of deployed applications
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members
