Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Montreal, QC

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to join our team in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and relational databases .

The candidate should be comfortable working across both backend and frontend development and collaborating with technical teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications.
• Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot .
• Build responsive and user-friendly web applications using Angular and TypeScript .
• Work with relational databases and develop complex SQL queries.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs and services.
• Participate in application design, development, testing, debugging, and production support.
• Follow best practices for coding, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Work closely with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other developers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide effective solutions.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java .
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs .
• Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript .
• Good experience with SQL and relational databases such as DB2, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD processes.
• Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture .
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies .
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Cloud experience with Azure or AWS.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools .
• Experience working in the financial services or banking domain is a plus.

Important Requirements

• 3 days onsite in Montreal, QC is mandatory.
• Candidates must be available for an in-person interview .
• Candidates should be authorized to work in Canada.
