Operations Supervisor
Job description
We are looking for a High-Energy Operations Supervisor to join our team in Toronto. This is a "boots on the ground" leadership role—we need a professional who leads from the front and is ready to jump in wherever the team needs them most to ensure our service standards are met 24/7.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based at YYZ. As our Operations Supervisor, you are the heartbeat of our daily pickup and delivery cycle. This is not just a desk-bound position; you will be active in the field, at the airport, warehouse and in the dispatch office.
- Active Team Support: You aren't just managing from a screen. If dispatch is slammed or the pickup team needs an extra hand at the airport, you’re the first one to jump in and help out.
- Conflict & Damage Control: You are the "go-to" person for fixing problems. Whether it’s de-escalating a situation with a driver or handling "damage control" when a time-sensitive delivery doesn't go as planned, you keep things moving smoothly.
- Professional Communication: You will communicate with customers and drivers daily. We need someone who is professional on the phone and writes clear, calm emails—even during peak hours.
- Tech & Data Management: You will use Microsoft apps, fast typing skills, and digital dispatch systems to manage day-to-day operations with precision.
- Continuous Improvement: You will work closely with management to refine our processes, solve logistical puzzles, and help the company scale.
Qualifications
- Leadership & Management: Strong Supervisory and Operations Management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Logistics Expertise: Experience in managing logistics operations is an asset; knowledge of local and cross-border delivery processes is a bonus.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to solve problems efficiently and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Communication: Fluent in English with exceptional communication skills for team coordination and professional customer interaction.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Requirements
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid G Driver’s License.
- Must be able to clear a background check and obtain a RAIC for airport access.
- Flexible availability (including shifts and weekends) to support our 24/7 operation.
Compensation & Benefits
- $22 – $27/hour (Based on experience)
- Comprehensive insurance package.
- Performance-based bonus.
