Role: PL/SQL Developer
Location: Montreal (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 - 12 Months of contract with possible extension
Role Summary:
Seeking an experienced PL/SQL UDB Developer with 7+ years of experience in developing complex queries, stored procedures, and database solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in PL/SQL UDB, Linux Shell Scripting, Python/Perl, and scheduling tools such as Autosys. The role requires analyzing business requirements, designing technical solutions, supporting data processing workflows, and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Greenplum, Informatica, and the Banking/Financial Services domain is preferred.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in PL/SQL UDB with writing complex data retrieval queries and stored procedures
- Expertise in Linux Shell Scripting
- Solid experience with Python / PERL.
- Good knowledge of Autosys or any similar scheduling tool
- Knowledge and good understanding of object-oriented programming
- Detail oriented, ability to turn deliverables around quickly with high degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret business requirements and produce functional and technical design documents
- Good time management skills – ability to prioritize and multi-task, handling multiple efforts at once
- Strong desire to understand and learn domain
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Green Plum
- Experience with Informatica
- Experience in a financial services/banking industry
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, equivalent field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in developing queries, scripts, and procedures with PL/SQL UDB database.
