Product Manager, Machine Learning

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Manager with a strong interest in machine learning and AI to help us build the core intelligence layer of Forge.

This isn’t a “write tickets and run standups” PM role.

You’ll be shaping how AI actually works inside the product — things like:

• turning messy customer problems into structured product concepts
• generating high-quality PRDs
• helping teams move faster from idea to execution
• automating parts of the product development lifecycle

You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and founders to define what we build — and just as importantly, what we don’t build.

You’ll have real ownership and a direct impact on the direction of the product.

What You’ll Do

• Define and ship AI-powered features from 0 → 1
• Work closely with engineers and designers to turn ideas into real product experiences
• Translate ambiguous problems into clear product decisions
• Help shape Forge’s AI capabilities (prompting, workflows, UX)
• Talk to users and deeply understand how product teams actually work
• Continuously iterate based on real usage and feedback
• Balance speed with quality in an early-stage environment

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to check every box — but you should feel comfortable operating in most of these areas:

• You’ve built and shipped products end-to-end
• You’re comfortable working with engineers on technical concepts (APIs, data, systems)
• You have a solid understanding of how machine learning / AI products work (or a strong desire to go deep here)
• You’re highly product-minded — you care about user experience, not just requirements
• You’re comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out as you go
• You communicate clearly and work well across disciplines
• You’re energized by early-stage environments where things move fast and change often
• Experience working on AI/ML products
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompting, or AI workflows
• Experience in product tools or developer tools
