Python Developer

Overview

Insight Global is partnering with a leading aerospace organization in Longueuil, QC to hire a Programmer who will help build next‑generation AI‑driven cost estimation tools used across the engine lifecycle.

This position is 100% onsite (5 days/week) in Longueuil.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance AI proof‑of‑concept tools for cost estimation and predictive analytics
• Support technical and business reviews by providing data, insights, and prototypes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into functional solutions
• Gather, structure, and maintain engineering and cost datasets
• Assist with early-stage cost estimation, even when working with incomplete or high‑level data
• Extract relevant information from technical drawings (CATIA/draft drawings when applicable)

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• 1–3 years of experience in software development or a similar technical role
• Strong programming skills in Python and Node.js
• Experience with modern software development practices, including:
• Data management
• System integration
• Collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), and GitHub

Nice‑to‑Have Experience

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (e.g., CATIA, engineering drafts)
• Knowledge of AI/ML, including deep learning, supervised/unsupervised learning, or GenAI
• Experience working in a large enterprise or aerospace environment

Compensation

$28/hr to $36/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
