React Native Engineer

Role: Senior/Intermediate React Native Developer

Type: Contract-6+ Month s

Location: Toronto, ON - 5x/Month- Hybr id

Compensation: $70-$75/h our

Primary Focus: ~80% React Native / ~20% Native Mobile & adjacent develop ment

Interview Process: 2 Client Rounds (1- Technical- In-person- 1.5 Hours, 2- Re mote)

Design, develop, test, and maintain production mobile applications using React Native

and Expo

Build new mobile features from requirements, specifications, and Figm

a designs

Work within Agile squads alongside Product, Design, QA, and other

engineers

Own features through the full development lifecycle from requirements through implementa

tion and QA

Integrate mobile applications wi

th REST APIs

Troubleshoot issues across React Native and, when required, the underlying native iOS/A

ndroid layers

Work with Swift/iOS development when functionality requires native

implementation

Apply established native mobile development patterns and best practices within React Nati

ve applications

Develop automated unit/component tests using Jest and React Native t

esting libraries

Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, security reviews, and engi

neering standards

Support both existing applications and new greenfield

mobile development

Contribute to CI/CD and mobile release processes using EAS Build/EAS Update, Jenkins,

and GitHub Actions

Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools throughout the

engineering workflow

Participate in the team's move toward spec-driven development, using specifications from requirements through

implementation and QA

Work with emerging AI-enabled engineering workflows, including Figma MCP int

egrations and Spe
