BC Hydro has a large SAP footprint with Finance, Supply Chain, HCM, IS-U, PPM, SD all running in a single instance.
Planning work is currently in progress for the upcoming migration to S/4 HANA and the expending EAM implementation starting with Stations (Generation and Transmission) and Design Distribution work.
EAM Solution Lead will be the key player in driving the EAM initiatives by proving the functional design direction.Working within IT Operations ERP team, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution lead is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the EAM solution from participating in planning the initiatives to sustainment.
Reporting into the IT Operations Manager for ERP Solutions, this senior level position supports BC Hydro's enterprise applications strategy by strengthening internal SAP capabilities.
The position is focused on the management of the SAP EAM Solution, and includes both operations and project delivery responsibilities.
The ideal candidate's background comes from previous SAP implementation projects and support as an SAP EAM lead.
What you'll do
- Responsible for all aspects of operations of the SAP EAM solution and closely integrated systems, including managing
incidents, budget, business relationship, and resources (employees and consultants).
- Leads SAP EAM strategy and roadmap.
- Leads design workshops and writes blueprint documents for various components of EAM solution.
- A subject matter expert providing advice in regards to features and capabilities of EAM solutions including closely integrated components such as work scheduling, asset performance management, and asset investment planning.
- Plays a solution lead or a functional lead role on SAP EAM related projects where applicable.
- Plays a role in plan activities in enhancement projects as needed.
- A primary liaison between enterprise asset management application operations and business, project, and program.
- Continuously identifies improvements based on business needs and best practices.
What you bring
- Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent.
- System expert in SAP EAM solutions with at least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations and 10 years of progressive experience as a functional analyst in a dynamic utility industry or consulting environment.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, and excellent facilitation skills to proactively engage multiple internal stakeholder groups and external parties.
- Experience leading strategic discussions and building roadmaps.
- Flexible, self-starter with results orientation and the ability to quickly make decisions.
- Experience in the sustainment of SAP EAM solutions.
- In depth knowledge of utility industry from Generation, Transmission, to Distribution.
- Experience in implementing linear asset management is an asset.
- Experience in Work Scheduling, Asset Performance Management, and Asset Investment Planning Tools, is an asset.
- Strong business analyst skills are a must.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, to proactively engage multiple internal/external stakeholder groups
