CGI GroupPosition Description CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Platform Developer to join our team and help design, build, and evolve production-grade backend systems and cloud-native platforms. This role is ideal for a senior software professional with deep expertise in Go, strong Node.js development experience, and a solid understanding of AWS cloud services, CI/CD, and engineering automation.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will contribute to the architecture, development, deployment, and operational excellence of scalable backend services while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions. Beyond technical expertise, we are looking for someone who brings sound engineering judgment, challenges assumptions constructively, and helps elevate team decision-making through thoughtful collaboration and technical leadership.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity based in one of CGI's Atlantic Canada offices, including Halifax, NS; Moncton or Fredericton, NB; Stratford, PEI; or St. John's, NL, with a hybrid work model requiring three days per week onsite.
