This is an on-site, full-time role based in Georgetown, ON, for a Transport Dispatcher. The Transport Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating drivers and fleet activities, managing schedules, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities also include communicating with customers to provide updates, resolving transportation challenges, and optimizing routes for cost-efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration with drivers, customers, and internal teams is essential to ensure smooth transport operations.
Strong skills in route optimization, scheduling, and logistics coordination
Effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities
Familiarity with transportation regulations, compliance, and safety standards
Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant tools
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment
Previous experience in dispatch or transport coordination is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications are a plus
