The Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack WordPress Developer for a long-term, full-time remote contract. You will own projects end-to-end - from Figma to production - working with a distributed team on high-quality agency and enterprise builds.

Open to candidates based in Canada only. Specific location TBC.

What You Will Do

• Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch
• Transform Figma designs into pixel-perfect, fully functional websites
• Develop headless projects using Next.js or Nuxt.js with Payload CMS or Sanity
• Build React.js components integrated with the WordPress REST API
• Work with ACF, WPML, WooCommerce, Sage, Bedrock, WP CLI, and related tools
• Ensure responsive, cross-browser compatible builds
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to meet client objectives
• Maintain clean, version-controlled code via Git

What We Are Looking For

Must-have:

• 7+ years of WordPress development (custom themes, plugins, multisite)
• Strong PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript (ES6+, TypeScript)
• Proficiency in React.js and/or Vue.js
• Experience with Next.js or Nuxt.js and headless CMS platforms
• Solid UX/UI understanding and attention to design detail
• Proficiency with Docker, Webpack, Gulp, and Git workflows
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Sage, Bedrock, MongoDB, Composer
• WooCommerce and eCommerce optimization background
• Familiarity with Drupal, Laravel, or other CMS platforms

Contract Details

• Type: Full-time contract (long-term)
• Location: Remote - Canada only (TBC)
• Schedule: Flexible with EST business hours overlap
• Rate: Competitive, based on experience
