Logistics Generalist /Forklift Operator/Supervisor/Container depot receiver
- Handling diverse logistical and operational functions relating to effiently receiving shipping containes (rail and road) of various goods to international consumer markets,
- Taking and labeling grain samples for quality inspection,
- Operating forklift to load totes of grains, recycling papers, pulp bales, etc. into containers before shipment,
- Overseeing heavy equipment, loading gear and platforms,
- Supervising teams of six to eight , up to 40 containers (30,000 kilograms gross tonnage) per shift,
- Coordinating the movement of trucks, flow of traffic in the yard,
- Supporting dispatching in the office as needed,
- Inspecting physically each container entering the yard (100 to 150 containers per day).
- Entering the container data into the company’s internal system,
- Ensuring customer service with truck drivers.
