As an IT Application Development Assistant at Ontario Public Service, I was part of the App Development Unit and worked on Application Development for the IFIS Financial System, which manages financial processes for the province. My responsibilities included working in database files done in PL/SQL using Oracle Financial Software TOAD, as well as version control for source code files with PVCS version management software. I read Functional Design & Unit Testing documents, edited source code files, and documented changes, as part of a company upgrade project.
As a participant in the Pangea Top Emerging Talent Program, I executed contract-based projects as a freelancer for startup tech companies. I utilized my expertise in web and software development to complete these projects successfully.
During my time as a Wordpress Development Assistant at King’s Court RCCG, I assisted in the completion of the main non-profit organization webpage using WordPress and JavaScript. I worked with a small team of other assistants.
As an Administrative Assistant at King’s Court Brampton RCCG, I worked with a team to contact local businesses for donations and sponsors for the church’s annual community barbeque. My responsibilities included calling and sending formal request letters to local businesses & companies, as well as travelling to deliver letters in person to nearby companies. I also helped to clean up at the start and end of each workday. In 2016, I was responsible for collecting the most donations out of team members.
